Car Flips Over In Crash Off Of Sunrise Service Road: Cops

The driver's injuries were non-life-threatening, police said.

NORTH PATCHOGUE, NY — A car flipped over on its top following a collision in North Patchogue on Wednesday afternoon, snarling local traffic as emergency responders worked the scene.

Suffolk police said officers from the 5th Precinct responded to a call of a two-vehicle crash on Waverly Avenue and Sunrise Highway's North Service Road just before 4 p.m., and officers from the Emergency Services Unit needed to be called in to turn the vehicle over.

A local ambulance company was notified but the driver's injuries were non-life-threatening, police said.
