DAR Colonial Ladies at the Ketcham Inn Fundraiser

Fundraising event story

The Ketcham Inn Steward Bertram Seides welcomed Colonial guests on September 17 for a lively Tavern fundraiser. Three ladies from the Patchogue based Colonel Josiah Smith Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution greeted guests as they walked with their lanterns after a tour of the Haven's House. An Irish slave Lauren recounted stories of her experience in 1790's Long Island. The guests received a serving of Grog and then enjoyed a lovely dinner prepared by Diane Schwindt and Sandy. Dale Jacobi, Mary Dykman, and Joan Nathan, Regent of the Col. Josiah Smith DAR, shared information about this lovely restored Inn. Bert's guests were delighted by all.

Ketcham Inn Foundation, Inc. interprets over 324 years of history on Long Islands South Shore.
