Peconic Bay Medical Center’s “Ask the Medical Expert” Speaker Series will continue on Wednesday, August 5th, 2015 from 6:30 PM until 7:30 PM, when Dr. Robert Rubin, a board-certified Asthma Specialist, will share the latest information about “Understanding Childhood Asthma.” This is a FREE community information Program presented by Peconic Bay Medical Center and will be held at Winslow Specialty Building D- PBMC Health, Manorville Campus at 496 Route 111 in Manorville, NY.
September is the month with the highest level of childhood Asthma attacks. Therefore we will get a head start on August 5th, with learning the facts about childhood Asthma. Here are just a few statistics. In the United States, over 7,000,000 children are suffering with Asthma. This represents nearly 10 % of the childhood population. In fact, Asthma is the third ranking cause of hospitalization of children under 15 years old, and results in over 10,000,000 school days missed overall annually. Dr. Rubin is committed to bringing an understanding to those in attendance about the disease known as Asthma, its causes, prevention, and treatment.
