E. Patchogue Senior Complex Flooding Raises Health Concerns: Report

Residents told News 12 the burst pipe happened four times in five days and they had no access to hot water since Sunday.

EAST PATCHOGUE, NY — Pinehurst Senior Complex residents, who are mostly disabled, say a pipe has burst four times in five days over the last week, and the 300-unit apartment complex has had no hot water since Sunday, News 12 reported.

The Suffolk County Health Department and the Town of Brookhaven Fire Marshal's Office responded to the East Patchogue complex after residents complained of burst pipes, water damage, and mold on Monday, according to the outlet.

Conifer LLC, the company that manages the property, told News 12 it temporary water heating truck to supply hot water to the buildings.

Suffolk officials told the outlet that a restoration company removed and replaced flood-damaged carpets and walls, while the fire marshal's office conducted an inspection, but no tickets were issued.
