East Patchogue Woman Left 2 Dogs Outside In Freezing Weather: PD
The German Shepherds were found confined in a backyard at about 8:40 p.m. on Monday, Suffolk police said.
EAST PATCHOGUE, NY — An East Patchogue woman left her two German Shepherds outside in below 32-degree weather on Monday, Suffolk police said.
The two dogs were found confined in a backyard at the Frank Drive home of Lara Martinez by officers from the 5th Precinct at about 8:40 p.m., according to police. Martinez, 37, was charged with restraining a pet in temperatures under 32 degrees, a Suffolk County code.
Police did not release any further details.
