A treasured tale of fairies, spells, and storybook romance: The Sleeping Beauty is the ultimate classical ballet. Yuri Grigorovich’s adaptation of Marius Petipa’s choreography, called “the best of the Bolshoi” (The New York Times), is paired with some of Tchaikovsky’s most memorable melodies. The Sleeping Beauty stars David Hallberg in his highly anticipated debut as the first ever American Premier at the Bolshoi, opposite Svetlana Zakharova as Princess Aurora. This performance was one of the very first in the Bolshoi Theatre since its remarkable renovation. Running Time: 171 minutes. Two 10-minute intermissions.
