North Patchogue Fire Truck Involved In Crash With Mercedes In East Patchogue: Police

EAST PATCHOGUE, NY — A North Patchogue Fire Department truck and a Mercedes were involved in a crash in East Patchogue on Thursday morning, Suffolk police said.

Officers were called to the scene at around 9:15 a.m., according to police.

The fire truck was traveling on Route 112, with lights and sirens activated, when a 2001 Mercedes being driven by an 88-year-old North Patchogue woman, tried to make a left-hand turn from Harris Street onto Route 112, and the vehicles collided, according to police.

No one was hurt, police said.No further information was available.
