Firefighters Douse Car Fire On Main Street In Patchogue On Saturday Night: Police

It happened at around 5 p.m., Suffolk police say.

PATCHOGUE, NY — A fire that broke out inside a car on Main Street in Patchogue was doused by local firefighters on Saturday night, Suffolk police said.

A 911 caller reported a vehicle on fire on North Ocean Avenue and Main Street at around 5 p.m., according to police.

When officers arrived at the scene, they found a 2008 Honda Odyssey on fire, and the driver was safely out of the car, police said.

Firefighters from the Patchogue Fire Department extinguished the fire, police said, adding that no one was hurt.
