Fourth Of July 2019: What's Open, Closed In Patchogue

PATCHOGUE, NY — As families throughout the country celebrate the Fourth of July holiday with fireworks, cookouts and vacations, many services will also take a break for the holiday. Independence Day falls on a Thursday this year, and some services will be closed Friday as well.

Patchogue Village Hall will be closed July 4 and 5, and the post office will be completely closed on the fourth. Other services such as the YMCA will open on Independence Day, but with different hours than usual.

Gov. Andrew M. Cuomo also announced that state troopers and local law enforcement agencies will increase patrols to combat intoxicated driving during the holiday from June 29 through July 5, according to a news release.

Here are the openings and closings you need to know in Patchogue:

Patchogue Village Hall: Closed on July 4-5. Open regular hours on July 3.

Patchogue Village Court: Closed on July 4-5. Open regular hours on July 3.

Patchogue Village Clerk's Office: Closed on July 4-5. Open regular hours on July 3.

Patchogue Parks Department: Closed on July 4-5. Open regular hours on July 3.

Patchogue Public Pool: On July 4 the pool is open from 11 a.m. - 5 p.m. On July 3 and July 5 the pool will be open for its regular hours from 11 a.m. - 7 p.m.

Patchogue Medford- Library: Closed on July 4. Regular hours on July 3 and July 5.

Patchogue Family YMCA: Opened on July 4 from 5 a.m. - 2 p.m. Open for its regular hours on July 3 and July 5. Regular YMCA hours are 5: a.m. - 10 p.m.

Post Office: The post office will be totally closed on July 4. Normal hours for July 3 and July 5.
