The Gateway Playhouse's Season Kicks Off In June
It will feature Broadway hits like "The Wedding Singer," "Head Over Heels," "The Little Mermaid," and "A Christmas Carol the Musical."

BELLPORT, NY — The Gateway Playhouse's new season featuring an array of Broadway hits will open with the Go-Gos-themed "Head Over Heels" in June.
The lineup will be followed by Disney’s "The Little Mermaid," "The Cher Show," "A Christmas Carol the Musical," "The Wedding Singer," and "Clue."
Paul Allan, the Gateway’s executive artistic director, said the playhouse's staff is excited to announce the season which has been expanded to offer performances all year long.

"We know how difficult it is for our patrons to fit so many shows into a busy Long Island summer, and this new schedule allows performance dates to be spread over 12 months," he said. "Additionally, we will also be announcing concerts and special events on select dates creating the perfect mix of top-quality entertainment all year long."
"Head Over Heels" is a "laugh-out-loud love story" set to the music of the iconic 80s all-female rock band, including the hit songs, “We Got the Beat,” “Our Lips Are Sealed,” and “Vacation,” as well as Belinda Carlisle’s solo songs “Heaven is a Place on Earth” and “Mad About You,” according to theater officials. It will run from June 3 to 26 at The Gateway.
Next up is Disney’s "The Little Mermaid" will run from July 15 to Aug. 7 at The Gateway and is based on one of Hans Christian Andersen's most beloved stories that was later adpated into the classic animated film featuring the memorable tunes of "Under the Sea," "Kiss the Girl," and "Part of Your World."

"The Cher Show," running from Aug. 26 to Sept. 11 at Patchogue Theatre, is based on the life of Cherilyn Sarkisian La Piere Bono Allman, otherwise known as Cher, and will feature songs like “I Got You Babe,” “The Beat Goes On,” “Bang Bang,” “If I Could Turn Back Time,” “The Shoop Shoop Song,” and “Believe.”
"A Christmas Carol the Musical" will feature brand new songs and dance numbers that will bring to life the classic tale. It will run from Dec. 16 to 28 at the Patchogue Theatre.
The loveable loser Robbie Hart is back in "The Wedding Singer" at the Patchogue Theatre from Jan. 27 – Feb. 26. It's based on the comedy featuring Adam Sandler and Drew Barrymore and will take you back to a time when hair was big, collars were up, and greed was good, playhouse officials said.
"Clue," which is based on the iconic 1985 Paramount movie that was inspired by the classic Hasbro board game, will run from March 17 to April 16 at The Gateway.
