Giunta's Meat Farms To Take Over Former Patchogue Pathmark
The Medford location for the Long Island-based chain will close down and re-locate a little more than a mile away in Patchogue.

PATCHOGUE, NY β A new business will soon take over the former Pathmark in Patchogue. Giunta's Meat Farms will close down its Medford location and taking over the former supermarket at 399 Medford Ave, a Brookhaven Town spokesperson confirmed.
The Long Island-based supermarket chain will relocate just over a mile away from its location at 1610 Route 112. Giunta's has eight other locations on Long Island including Bohemia, Northport, Port Jefferson, Lake Ronkonkoma, Holbrook, Hauppauge, Farmingdale and Commack.
The Pathmark store was closed down following the announcement that parent company, Great Atlantic & Pacific Tea Co., filed for bankruptcy in 2012.

It is still unknown when the Medford location will close and when the new 65,000-square-foot Patchogue location will open. A report by GreaterPatchogue said the new supermarket is expected to open April 1. Stay tuned for updates.
