PATCHOGUE, NY — The family of singer-songwriter Harry Chapin will mark what would have been his 80th birthday with a special retrospective concert at the Patchogue Theatre for the Performing Arts on Jan. 28.

As part of "Harry Chapin at 80: A Retrospective," the Chapin family — Tom, Steve, Jen, and The Chapin Sisters, Abigail and Lily — will gather to bring back The Harry Chapin Band, including Big John Wallace and Howard Fields, to perform classic songs like “Cat’s In The Cradle,” “Taxi,” “Mr. Tanner,” “Mail Order Annie,” “W•O•L• D,” and “Circle.”

Chapin, who died at 38 in 1981, is considered one of the most passionate and political songwriters ever known and his family thought that while reaching the milestone a celebration was in order, Patchogue theatre officials said.
