Kitten Stolen From Adoption Event at Suffolk County Petco
The 2-month-old kitten was stolen on Sunday. Surveillance footage shows suspected thief.
A 2-month-old kitten was stolen from an adoption event at a Petco store in Suffolk County on Sunday.
Last Chance Animal Rescue, which sponsored the event, is asking for the public's help to find the person who took Ruby, a spayed domestic short-haired kitten.
The kitten was stolen around 1:45 p.m. at the store located at 401 Sunrise Highway. A police report has been filed. Surveillance footage, which can be viewed below, shows a woman who may have stolen the kitten, according to Last Chance Animal Rescue.

"We just want her back safely!" the Southampton-based nonprofit organization posted on its Facebook page. "If you are in possession of the cat or know who is, have access and can get the cat we ask that you return her to Petco-Patchogue during store hours. NO QUESTIONS ASKED. We just want Ruby back safe and sound!"
