L.I. Artist, Joseph Riley of Patchogue, Art Exhibition at Briarcliffe College, Bethpage

Joseph Riley, is a home grown artist born in Brooklyn and raised in Patchogue , New York. His artistic genetics came from his mother , who was also his first art teacher. He is a graduate of Patchogue - Medford H.S. and Briarcliffe College. His favorite medium is paint and not just canvas, but many different types of surfaces. Although he enjoys the works of many different artists past and present, male and female, the artist he favors the most and who’s pieces he finds myself getting lost in, is Jackson Pollack. Joseph has exhibited ay many local galleries and outreach venues including the Phoenix Gallery in Bellport.

Each month, Briarcliffe hosts an art exhibit for Long Island artists, either a group or individual. Curator, Lisa L Cangemi organizes exhibitions in both L.I.campuses for Briarcliffe, Bethpage and Patchogue.

The Bethpage Show at Briarcliffe College runs December 8, 2014 thru January 23, 2015.
