LI Shop Worker Charged With Selling Alcohol/E-Cigs To Minors: PD
Ali Zaman, 30, of Selden was charged with two counts of second-degree unlawfully dealing with a child, police said.
PATCHOGUE, NY — A 30-year-old Selden man sold alcohol and e-liquid nicotine to minors in Patchogue, Suffolk police said.
Fifth Precinct Crime Section officers began investigating the sale of e-cigarettes to minors at J Mart and Smoke Shop on Route 112 at about 6:30 p.m. on Monday, police said, adding, Ali Zaman, a shop worker, sold e-cigarettes to an undercover agent working with the police and he was also seen selling alcohol to minors.
The investigation was prompted by "numerous complaints," police said.

Zaman was arrested and charged with two counts of second-degree unlawfully dealing with a child. He was issued a field appearance ticket and is scheduled to appear in First District Court in Central Islip at a later date.
New York State Liquor Authority investigators were notified of the illegal alcohol sales, police said.
