Local Baton Twirlers are 3-Time National Champions

MEDFORD, NY [August 1, 2018]

Baton twirling organization, Titanium Twirlers, returned from the 60th annual United States Twirling Championship in Jacksonville, FL as 3-time National Champions.

17 members from the Titanium Competition Team traveled to the week-long Championship from July 7, 2018 to July 14, 2018 to compete at the Jacksonville Veterans Memorial Arena in various team and individual events. The Junior teams placed 1st in all 3 of their appearances with their Parade Corps routine receiving the highest score in the nation; their command performance was performed on the final team evening. Junior team members include: Caroline Bayer, Jessica Boswell, Alyssa Hawkins, Alanna Hopkins, Ava Kaiser, Isabella Kuhlow, Erin Lynch, Kaitlynn Marlowe, Grace Papile, Emily Tanzi, Olivia Werner.

The Juvenile team made their debut at the National Championship this July and placed 2nd out of 5 teams in their category. Juvenile team members include: Rylie Bayer, Jocelynn Besold, Jessica Boswell, Anna Callen, Gianna Hughes, Alina Kuhlow, Isabella Kuhlow, Erin Lynch, Gabrielle Ziegler.

Soloists and Duet members Caroline Bayer (duet & soloist), Jessica Boswell, Ava Kaiser, Alanna Hopkins (15-year old 2 Baton Champion), Alina Kuhlow, Isabella Kuhlow, Grace Papile (duet & soloist) and Gabrielle Ziegler (14-year old Presentation Champion) all placed well in various individual events.

Titanium Twirlers is a 501(c)3 non-profit youth organization aimed at growing the sport of baton twirling through their recreational Performance Program and their traveling Competition Team. Founded and coached by 30-year baton twirling veterans Allison Alvarado and Cassandra Broadway, Titanium was established in 2017 when their former organization, the Clarkettes, retired after 51 years.
