EAST PATCHOGUE, NY — The new German supermarket opening nine Long Island locations will begin its transition to East Patchogue this week. The Best Market on 655 Montauk Highway will be closing down on Thursday so that Lidl can officially begin moving in.

Last year, the company announced plans to convert some of the former Best Markets, which sold over 20 of its Long Island stores to the company earlier this year, in addition to opening new stores in both Nassau and Suffolk Counties.

The East Patchogue Lidl is expected to be completed by summer 2020.

Stores in East Northport, East Meadow, Oakdale, Lake Grove, Plainview, Huntington, and Center Moriches are also expected to open.
