Lt. Michael Murphy Post Office In Patchogue To Host 2-Day Job Fair

Postal service workers will be on hand as part of "Delivering for America" to guide applicants next Wednesday and Thursday.

PATCHOGUE, NY — A two-day job fair will be held at the Lt. Michael Murphy U.S. Post Office in Patchogue on next Wednesday and Thursday.

Post office experts will be available to assist applicants, answer questions and provide guidance through the application process between the hours of 10 a.m. and 2 p.m.

The fair aims to fill immediate openings for both city and rural carrier assistants, as well as assistant rural carriers, according to a news release. The starting salary for city carrier assistants is $18.92 per hour, and rural carrier associates and assistant rural carriers start at $19.06 per hour.

Applications will be accepted online only at www.usps.com/careers, and once on the site, applicants can enter the keyword “Patchogue." The careers page is updated frequently and interested candidates are encouraged to check back frequently.
