Man Due In Court After Patchogue Crash That Sent 2 To The Hospital: Court Docs

Two people were taken to NYU Langone Hospital-Suffolk after the March 23 crash, Suffolk police say.

PATCHOGUE, NY — A Patchogue man is due in court for arraignment next week after he was involved in a drunk driving crash that sent two people to a local hospital on March 23, authorities said.

The man, 38, was behind the wheel of a 2004 Toyota Corolla on Woodside Avenue, near Maple Avenue, when it crashed, and he ran away from the scene, according to Suffolk police.

It happened at around 7:45 p.m., police said.

Further details about the crash were not available.

His two passengers — one suffering with chest pain — were taken to NYU Langone Hospital-Suffolk in East Patchogue for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries, according to police.

He was charged with driving while intoxicated and leaving the scene of a crash with personal injury, both misdemeanors, according to police.

He is due in First District Court in Central Islip on April 10, online court records show.

There is no record of a defense attorney on file for him.
