Man Found Dead Inside Patchogue Home

A 41-year-old man was found dead inside a Patchogue home Sunday evening, Suffolk Police said.

According to police, a friend visiting 80 Jayne Ave. found Daniel Gaber dead inside the upstairs apartment where he lived alone at about 6:30 p.m. The friend called 911 and Fifth Precinct Patrol officers responded. Gaber was pronounced dead at the scene. Gaber was transported to the Office of the Suffolk County Medical Examiner to determine the cause of death.
