Man Hospitalized After Assault Outside The Tap Room

A 27-year-old Patchogue man was taken to the hospital after being assaulted outside The Tap Room in Patchogue Sunday afternoon.

Police say the man was struck in the head by an unknown man at about 4:18 p.m. The victim suffered a laceration to the back of the head and was treated at Brookhaven Memorial Hospital Medical Center.

No arrests have been made and police did not release any other information on the incident.
