UPDATE: Police ID Rapper Shot Outside North Patchogue Nightclub
The 30-year-old was shot in the stomach after performing at the club, police say.

NORTH PATCHOGUE, NY - A 30-year-old Riverhead man was shot in the stomach after he performed at a North Patchogue nightclub early Friday morning, police said.
According to police, Donte Hobson was standing outside the V.I.P. Lounge, located at 620 Waverly Ave., with a large group of people at about 1:30 a.m. when he was shot. Hobson, a rapper known as “BOP,” had just performed with a group inside the club.
Several witnesses fled the scene prior to police arrival, police said. No arrests have been made.

Hobson was transported by the Holbrook Fire Department to Brookhaven Memorial Hospital Medical Center in East Patchogue where he was treated and released.
The investigation is continuing and detectives are asking anyone with information on the shooting to call Fifth Squad at 631-854-8552 or call anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS.
