Man Struck By 2 Hit-And-Run Drivers In Patchogue Dies: Police

He was hit by two drivers, who both fled, early Sunday, police say.

PATCHOGUE, NY — A Farmingville man was killed when he was struck by two hit-and-run drivers in Patchogue early Sunday, police said.

He was struck twice at 4 a.m. at the intersection of Medford Avenue and Oak Street, Suffolk County police said.

Nicholas Puzio, 25, was crossing Medford Avenue at Oak Street when, first, he was struck by a southbound white sedan traveling on Medford Avenue, police said. About one minute later, Puzio was struck by a gray Nissan Armada, police said. Both drivers fled the scene, police said.

Puzio was transported to Long Island Community Hospital in Patchogue where he
was pronounced dead, police said.
