Man Struck By 2 Vehicles On Sunrise Highway
One of the cars fled the scene after striking the man Thursday night, police say.

EAST PATCHOGUE, NY – A 58-year-old man was seriously injured after being struck by two vehicles on Sunrise Highway in Suffolk County Thursday night, police said.
According to Suffolk Police, 65-year-old Michael Santaniello was driving a 2010 Ford van east on Sunrise Highway, just east of Route 112, in East Patchogue when his van and another vehicle struck Juan Reyes, who was on the main highway at 9:07 p.m.
Reyes was transported Stony Brook University Hospital where he is in serious condition. Santaniello, of Shirley remained at the scene and was not injured. The van was impounded. The second vehicle that hit Reyes fled the scene. It's unclear why Reyes was on the highway.
