Mayor Declares State of Emergency For Patchogue Village

All businesses must close by 9 p.m. Monday.

Patchogue Village Mayor Pontieri has declared a state of emergency for the village due to the blizzard.

All businesses in the village, except essential healthcare related services, must close by 9 p.m. Monday and remain closed until further notice.

This state of emergency is expected to remain in effect until Wednesday morning, according to the Greater Patchogue Chamber of Commerce.

“Residents and visitors must stay off the streets,” the Chamber wrote on Facebook. “Parking on all streets is prohibited.”

The state and Suffolk County have also declared states of emergency as up to 3 feet of snow may fall on Long Island by Tuesday night.
