Pedestrian Hit, Killed By Car On Route 112
A crash Monday night near state Route 112 and Jamaica Avenue left a Medford man dead, police said.

MEDFORD, NY — Police are investigating a Medford crash that left a pedestrian dead. It happened around 11 p.m. Monday on Route 112 north of Jamaica Avenue, Suffolk County police said.
Jorge Lopez Paucar, 58, of Medford, was crossing the street when he was hit by a Ford Focus. Emergency responders rushed Lopez Paucar to Stony Brook University Hospital where he died, police said.
The 59-year-old Medford man who was driving the car was not hurt, police said. The vehicle was impounded for a safety check.
