Midnight Crash On Long Island Claims Life Of Motorcyclist: P0lice

He was taken to Stony Brook University Hospital where he was pronounced dead, police say.

CENTEREACH, NY โ€” A crash claimed the life of a motorcyclist Friday morning in Centereach, Suffolk police said.

Kevin Zambrano was operating a Honda VT1 motorcycle eastbound on Middle Country Road, when he drove through a red light at Eastwood Boulevard, and struck a northbound 2021 Nissan Sentra that was passing through the intersection with a green light at around 12 a.m., according to police.

Zambrano, 25, of Shirley, was taken to Stony Brook University Hospital where he was pronounced dead, police said.

The driver of the Nissan, a 19-year-old from Lake Grove, was not hurt.

The vehicle and motorcycle were impounded for safety checks.
