Motorcyclist Hurt In Crash With SUV In Setauket: Police

She was taken to Stony Brook University Hospital, Suffolk police say.

SETAUKET, NY — A motorcyclist was hurt after her bike collided with an SUV on Nesconset Highway in Setauket on Tuesday night, Suffolk police said.

The 28-year-old Smithtown woman was riding a 2002 Honda motorcycle westbound on Nesconset Highway, when it collided with a 2017 Honda SUV as she tried to turn left onto Barker Drive at 8:30 p.m., according to police.

The woman was transported to Stony Brook University Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, police said, adding that the driver of the SUV, a 72-year-old Stony Brook man, was not hurt in the crash.
