Motorcyclist Seriously Injured In Sunrise Highway Crash: Suffolk PD
His Harley Davidson crashed into the back of a 2015 Ford Mustang and he was taken to Stony Brook University Hospital, cops say.
PATCHOGUE, NY — A motorcyclist was seriously injured Sunday night on Sunrise Highway in Patchogue, Suffolk police said.
Robert Tavares, 50, of Patchogue was driving a 2018 Harley Davidson westbound on Sunrise Highway, just east of Route 112, when it crashed into the back of a 2015 Ford Mustang at about 8:40 p.m., said police, adding that he was taken to Stony Brook University Hospital for treatment of serious injuries.
The Mustang's driver, Max-Pierre Elie, 24, of Bay Shore was not injured, and both vehicles were impounded for safety checks, police said.
