The Original Audrey, Ellen Greene, To Host 40th Anniv. Screening Of 'Little Shop Of Horrors' In Patchogue

The cult favorite musical, also starring Rick Moranis and Steve Martin, is known for tunes like "Suddenly, Seymour," and "Dentist."

PATCHOGUE, NY — The original Audrey, Ellen Greene, will host a 40th anniversary screening of the cult favorite film, "Little Shop of Horrors," at the Patchogue Theatre for the Performing Arts on Aug. 30.

The event will include what is considered a rare appearance from Greene, who originated the role in the stage musical and continued on to star in the 1986 film adaptation, organizers say.

The musical film tells the story of a nerdy florist, Seymour Kilborn, played by Rick Moranis, who cultivates a bloodthirsty man-eating plant named Audrey II. Throughout the film, Kilborn struggles to balance his work, the plant's appetite, and his love for Audrey.
