UPDATE: Man In No. Bellport Crash May Have Had Medical Emergency: PD
His 2005 Honda crashed into a utility pole just before 1 p.m. and he was taken to Long Island Community Hospital.
UPDATE 3:30 p.m.: Police said a man, whose name has not been released, may have suffered a medical emergency behind the wheel of a 2005 Honda and it crashed into a utility pole, just east of Donegan Avenue. He was treated for non-life-threatening injuries, according to police.
It is unclear if the road has been reopened to traffic.
NORTH BELLPORT, NY — Part of Montauk Highway in North Bellport was closed off Monday afternoon while police investigated the circumstances under which a vehicle crashed into a utility pole.

The crash took place near Sherger and Lenox avenues just before 1 p.m., and the driver was transported by ambulance to Long Island Community Hospital in East Patchogue for treatment of their injuries. No further information was immediately available.
