PATCHOGUE, NY — Patchogue Village will be bustling with people and traffic on Sunday, as a series of three separate events are planned.

Volunteer kayakers will gather for the Patchogue River Clean-up to mark National Public Lands Day. The first clean-up will kick off at Watch Hill Ferry Terminal at 10 a.m. and will run until 12 p.m. The second will run from 12 to 4 p.m. at Drift 82. Volunteers can register by going to www.volunteer.gov and searching for Patchogue River Clean-up.

In conjunction with the clean-ups, there will be a Mac N' Cheese Challenge with the village's restaurants competing for the title of Best Mac N' Cheese. It's a $10 donation for a tasting spoon, but $5 for Patchogue River Clean-up volunteers. There will be raffles, educational activities, and vendors.
