Expect road closures near Main Street while the event runs from 5 to 9:30 p.m.
PATCHOGUE, NY — Patchogue’s Sundown Festival on Main Street will go on as planned due to improved weather reports, Greater Patchogue Chamber of Commerce Executive Director David Kennedy said.
“I am happy to report that the weather forecast has improved and rain has cleared our area for the rest of today,” Kennedy stated in an email to chamber members on Thursday morning.
It will run from 5 to 9:30 p.m.

Kennedy went on to say that due to the changing weather forecast, as well as concerns about another approaching storm over the weekend, many people are not aware “the remainder of today will remain dry and we are already receiving calls asking if the festival is on.”
There will be road closures on at the intersections of Main Street and Maple and West avenues, as well as South Ocean and Railroad Avenue just before and after the event.
