Patchogue St. Patrick's Day Parade Committee Sets Date For The Big Day
St. Francis De Sales' Deacon Marty McIndoe has been tapped to kick off the parade.
PATCHOGUE, NY — The Greater Patchogue Foundation's Cultural Heritage Committee and Village of Patchogue's St. Patrick's Day parade will kick off on March 19 under 2023 grand marshal Deacon Marty McIndoe from St. Francis De Sales R.C. Church.
The parade will kick off at noon with the two-mile "May the Road Rise to Meet Ye Race." The line of march will proceed from the East Main Street intersection of Route 112 and finish at the viewing stand on the corner of Havens Avenue and West Main Street.
McIndoe, a veteran, has been a community leader, providing spiritual guidance and help to the needy, "so it is time we give back to him by recognizing him with this honor," Greater Patchogue Chamber of Commerce president David Kennedy said in an email to chamber members Tuesday.
