Patchogue's Scarecrow Contest Back On Oct. 29
It will be a day of fun fall events including a scavenger hunt and trunk-or-treat.

PATCHOGUE, NY — It's back on.
Patchogue Village's annual Scare Crow contest, which had been canceled due to Hurricane Ian, has been rescheduled to Oct. 29, and organizers say "its going to be a full day of fall fun."
The day will kick off at 11 a.m. with a scavenger hunt, which will run to noon. That will be followed by the scarecrow built from noon to 1:30 p.m. and a trunk or treat from 3 to 5 p.m.

Next month, village officials plan a Walk-Through Zoo on Nov. 19 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., and families can also enjoy a festive holiday vendor’s market, in which there will be giveaways for the first 100 children. The price of admission is at least one non-perishable food item.
All food items collected will be donated to Patchogue's local food pantries.
