WATCH: Suffolk Police Donate Christmas Trees, Decorations to Families in Need
The families were given trees, ornaments, tree stands, lighting and tree stands during the event this past weekend.
Police recently partnered with Hall Enterprises and Bellport Hagerman East Patchogue Alliance, to donate Christmas trees, ornaments, tree stands, lighting and tree skirts to 10 families in need last weekend.
On Sunday, police and families gathered at the Hall Enterprises East Patchogue-Nursery Section to choose the trees for the underprivileged families. Charlie Hall, the nursery owner, chopped down the trees and the officers tied the trees to the families' cars.
In addition, officers, dressed as Santa and Mrs. Claus provided gifts to the children.

Funding for gifts donated by the SCPD Fifth Precinct Alliance and SCPD PBA. The trees were donated by Hall Enterprises.
Funding for tree dressings were donated by Suffolk County Law Enforcement Cigar Club.
