Police Seeking Man Who Robbed Smoke Shop At Gunpoint
A reward is being offered for information leading to an arrest.
Police are seeking the public’s help to identify and locate a man who robbed a Bellport business last month.
According to police, the man entered the Bellport Smoke Shop located at 1640 Montauk Highway on Oct. 16 at 2:38 a.m., displayed a gun and demanded cash. The cashier complied and the man fled on foot. The robber, whose face was covered, was wearing a tan sweater and carrying a floral backpack.
Suffolk County Crime Stoppers offers a cash reward of up to $5,000 for information that leads to an arrest. Anyone with information about this crime is asked to call anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS. All calls will be kept confidential.
