Police Seeking Men Who Broke Bellport Man's Jaw

The incident occurred last month after the victim confronted a group that was playing basketball on a residents-only court.

Police are seeking the public’s help to identify and locate the men who assaulted another man in Bellport last month.

A resident of the Atlantic Point apartment complex confronted a group of non-residents who were playing basketball on a court intended for residents only on Jan. 3, police said.

The non-residents began to physically attack the resident, a 61-year-old man, and the victim suffered a broken jaw, police said.
