Poll: Do You Support a New Restaurant Along the Patchogue River?
Owner of marina proposes to convert property into a restaurant; some residents expressing concerns.

A public hearing for a proposal to build a new restaurant along the Patchogue River at the current site of a marina promises to draw a crowd to Patchogue Village Hall next week.
The owner of the Riverview Marina, located at the corner of Argyle Lane and Campbell Street just across the river from Dublin Deck, wants to convert the marina into a 57-seat restaurant and bar, according to a Newsday report.
That’s not sitting too well with some Patchogue residents, who are worried about possible negative impacts a new restaurant may have on the area.

“It’s a residential neighborhood with a nearby park where children play. And there’s no parking,” resident Joseph Russo told Newsday.
The Patchogue Village Planning Board discussed the proposal during a work session Tuesday night, but public comment was not allowed. Residents will get their chance to speak during a public hearing on the proposal next Tuesday at 7:30 p.m.
