'Possible 2,000 Plus' Expected For 'No Kings' Protest Planned In Patchogue On Saturday, Chamber Says

Extra travel time and planning for deliveries, as well as staff arrival, or customer access was advised by business officials.

PATCHOGUE, NY — The Greater Patchogue Chamber of Commerce advised of the possibility of 2,000 protesters in the Patchogue area on Saturday for "No Kings" day.

Traffic disruptions could occur between 1 and 3 p.m., according to the chamber.

Please expect Oak Street, and the surrounding parking lots to be heavily impacted, officials said in an email to members of the community on Saturday.

The Department of Public Works will be stationed at the Del Fiore parking lot to help protect village parking spaces.

The chamber recommended allowing extra travel time and planning accordingly for any deliveries, staff arrival, or customer access.

A Suffolk police spokesperson that the department will "adjust resources accordingly."

In a statement regarding the nearby protest in Port Jefferson Station, the department's brass told Patch: “As with any demonstration or public gathering planned in Suffolk County, the department will adjust its resources as needed to ensure the safety of all residents.”
