Snow Emergency Under Effect In Patchogue Until Further Notice
It began at noon on Sunday.

PATCHOGUE, NY — A Snow Emergency is under effect in Patchogue Village, requiring residents to park their vehicles off the roadways to allow for snow removal and the application of salt to the roadways.
It began yesterday at 12 p.m. and will remain in effect until further notice.
So far, some areas of the region have seen a foot and a half of snow, as the storm continues to slam Long Island.

Any vehicles left parked in the street, will have to be towed to one of the village's municipal parking lots, and the tow fee, which usually runs around $125, will be charged back to the owner.
Residents will be able to park vehicles in the municipal lots if they cannot park off the street.

Village Hall has been closed, and garbage pickup has also been canceled.
A travel ban remains in effect for non-essential vehicles.
