UPDATE: Missing Suffolk Woman Found Safe: Cops

Suffolk police reported at about 9:30 p.m. last night that she was found unharmed.

EAST PATCHOGUE, NY — Suffolk police say that an 82-year-old East Patchogue woman suffering from dementia who was reported missing on Wednesday has been found safe.

She was last seen leaving her home on Ocean Avenue at about 7:30 a.m. in a red 2015 Nissan Rogue with a Florida license plate, police said.

She was reported missing as part of the county's Silver Alert program allowing local law enforcement to share information with media outlets about people with special needs who have been reported missing.
