CENTEREACH, NY — A person fired shots at a group home in Centereach on Tuesday morning, Suffolk police said.
The person fired the shots at Long Island Adolscent and Family Services on Horseblock Road at about 9:25 a.m., and “a bullet struck a nearby home.” No one was injured in the shooting, according to police.
Police said the shooter “arrived at and fled from the location in a vehicle.”

Detectives from the 6th Squad in Selden are investigating the shooting as a incident of “reckless endangerment,” police said.
