South Country Students' Artwork Displayed In Art Shows In St. James And Stony Brook

The shows include the 5th annual Middle and High School Student Artists' Juried Show hosted by the Atelier at Flowerfield, officials say.

BELLPORT, NY — The artwork of several South Country School District students was recently selected for showcase in local art shows in St James and Stony Brook, school officials said.

Bellport Middle School student Blythe Thompson’s art was chosen for the prestigious 5th annual Middle and High School Student Artists' Juried Show hosted by the Atelier at Flowerfield in St. James.

Her work was on display through Thursday.

Another 12 student art pieces are on display at the Colors of Long Island: Student Art Exhibition at the Long Island Museum in Stony Brook through April 12.

Those students are Alice Jorgensen and Josue Juela Uzho of Verne W. Critz Elementary School, Jaxson Liz
and Lucia Subhash of Brookhaven Elementary School, Jack Corral and Lucy Halpin of Kreamer Street Elementary School, Ashley Bodkin and Susannah Van Wyen of Bellport
Middle School, and Elizabeth Keenan and Md Manir of Bellport High School.
