Stony Brook University Hospital's 1st Baby Of 2023 Is A Girl

The roughly 7-lb little one was welcomed by Kamryn Schonfeld and Max Schonfeld of Nesconset at 12:10 a.m., hospital officials said.

STONY BROOK, NY — It's a girl — the first baby born in 2023 at Stony Brook University Hospital on New Year's Day, hospital officials announced in a news release Sunday.

Kamryn Schonfeld and Max Schonfeld of Nesconset welcomed their first child, a daughter, to the world at 12:10 a.m., according to the release. Charlotte "Charlie" Rose weighs 7 lbs, 10 ounces, hospital officials said.

She was delivered by Dr. Chris Raju and nurse Erin Abernathy, according to hospital officials.
