Suspect Sought In Armed Robbery At Speedway Gas Station In Suffolk: Cops

He bolted northbound in a dark-colored compact SUV without a license plate in the front, police said. Have you seen him?

YAPHANK, NY — Suffolk are looking for a suspect they say held up a gas station in Yaphank this month.

The man with a gun went inside Speedway on Horseblock Road, demanded cash from the clerk, and then stole a cash register on Dec. 2 at about 2:30 a.m., police said, adding that the man then bolted northbound in a dark-colored compact SUV without a license plate in the front.

He was described as about 40 years old, with short, shaved brown hair and he was wearing gray sweatpants and a black mask over his lower face, police said.

Suffolk Crime Stoppers is offering a cash reward for information leading to an arrest in the case. Anyone with information can submit an anonymous tip by calling 1-800-220-TIPS, using a mobile app, which can be downloaded through the App Store or Google Play by searching P3 Tips.
