Teen Arrested For Patchogue Baseball Bat Assault: Police

It happened over the holiday weekend, police say.

PATCHOGUE, NY – A Brentwood teen was arrested after he assaulted another teen with a baseball bat in Patchogue early Monday morning, police say.

Oscar Garcia, 18, is charged with felony assault. According to police, Garcia struck a 19-year-old man with a bat on Bay Avenue at Main Street at 1 a.m. Monday.

The victim was treated at a hospital for his injuries, police say.

Garcia was arrested Tuesday afternoon. He was released on $7,500 bail after being arraigned Wednesday. He is due back in court July 10.
