Trio Arrested After Armed Home Invasion in Suffolk County: Police

CENTER MORICHES, NY – Three men were arrested after they invaded a Suffolk County home Wednesday night, police said.

According to police, 29-year-old Alexander Vaughn, 19-year-old George Bidi and 26-year-old Akim Adams were armed with baseball bats and a handgun when they entered on home on Amanda Way in Center Moriches through an unlocked garage at about 10:20 p.m.

The men confronted the homeowners and stole jewelry, cash and a cellphone, police said.

A description of the suspects was broadcast over police radio and Third Precinct officers arrested the three men in a 2016 Hyundai sedan on the Southern State Parkway in Bay Shore at 11:55 p.m.

Vaughn, of Brooklyn, Bidi, of Brooklyn, and Adams, who is homeless, were each charged with first degree burglary.

All three were scheduled for arraignment at First District Court in Central Islip Thursday. The investigation is continuing and police are asking anyone with information to call the Seventh Squad at 631-852-8752.
