Two Men Hospitalized After Assault, Fight in Patchogue

The two incidents occurred about an hour apart early Sunday, police say.

Two men were hospitalized after an assault and fight in Patchogue Village early Sunday morning, Suffolk Police said.

The first incident occurred outside the Emporium on Railroad Avenue at 2 a.m. A man was punched in the face by another man, police said. The victim was taken to Brookhaven Memorial Hospital Medical Center for treatment of his injuries.

The other incident occurred on Main Street at 3:20 p.m. Police said a man was injured in a fight that involved about six males. The victim was treated at an area hospital.
