BELLPORT, NY — Thanks to the coronavirus pandemic, two Bellport children had to cancel their birthday parties. But it couldn't stop them from getting a special surprise from Suffolk County Police.

On Friday, officers took part in a special parade for the two kids. The parade first stopped at the home of 5-year-old Roberto, whose dream it is to become a police officer. They then went on to before pay a visit to his neighbor, Hailey, who turned 8-years-old that day.

Several police motorcycles and cars drove past the homes with their sirens on as the families watched. Commissioner Geraldine Hart also paid a visit to the families.
